BLACKROCK HEDGE SELECTOR LTD 
 
The Board of BlackRock Hedge Selector Ltd ("BHS") announces a change to the fund 
management structure of the BlackRock UK Emerging Companies Hedge Fund ("The Hedge Fund"). 
The Hedge Fund is the master fund of BHS's UK Emerging Companies Share Class and comprises 
one hundred percent of its investment portfolio. 
 
Richard Plackett, formerly co- manager of the Hedge Fund will return to 
BlackRock from sabbatical leave on 7th October 2014. On his return Richard will 
step down as co-manager of the Hedge Fund but will remain a member of 
BlackRock's UK Mid and Small Cap equity team with a particular focus on stock 
picking. 
 
Ralph Cox, who has been co-manager of the Hedge Fund since its launch in May 2004 
will assume responsibility as lead manager of the Hedge Fund. He will be supported in 
this role by Richard Plackett, Dan Whitestone and Lucy Marmion, all members of BlackRock's 
UK Mid and Small Cap equity team.
