                   Biotrace International Plc (the "Company")

                              Shareholder Interest

Biotrace International a leading manufacturer of industrial microbiology and
life science products and services announces that yesterday it was informed that
Armor Capital Management, LLC and certain subsidiary companies have increased
their holding in Biotrace with the purchase of 350,000 ordinary shares. Armor
Capital Management, LLC now have an aggregated interest in 2,096,500 shares
representing 5.34 per cent. of the issued share capital of the Company.

The shares are held by the following entities:
Armor Capital Partners, LP - 1,882,500 shares held at UBS Securities, LLC in New York
Abeille Value Holdings, LLC - 24,000 shares held at UBS Securities, LLC in New York
First New York Securities, LLC - 190,000 shares held at Bear Stearns Securities in New York
