BUSINESS SERVE PLC ('the Company')

Statement Re: Press Speculation

In response to recent press speculation the Company can confirm it is pursuing a
number of possible acquisitions. This is consistent with the Company's
previously stated strategy of continuing to seek suitable acquisition
opportunities where potential targets meet the Company's financial and strategic
goals. No agreement has been reached and the outcome of these discussions is not
certain.

The Company is considering its options for financing any proposed acquisition
and these include a potential equity fundraising.

A further announcement will be made when appropriate.
