                 Brightview plc ('Brightview' or the 'Company')

                            Exercise of Options

     
Brightview announces today that 3,227,380 ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the
capital of the Company ('New Ordinary   Shares') have been issued and allotted
following the exercise of options under the Company's share option schemes.  On 
3 September 2007, 1,322,620 options were exercised at a price of 10 pence per
share and 1,904,760 options were  exercised at a price of 10.5 pence per share.

Application has been made for the New Ordinary Shares to be admitted to trading
on AIM.  The New Ordinary Shares will  rank pari passu with existing ordinary
shares and it is expected that admission will occur at 8.00am on 7 September 
2007.

Following admission of the New Ordinary Shares, the total issued share capital
of the Company will be 48,057,486  ordinary shares.
