                    Re: Results of Annual General Meeting


The Board of Directors of Beta Viet Nam Fund Limited (the "Fund") wishes to
announce that at the Annual General Meeting held today, the resolutions
proposed to present the report and accounts for the year-ended 31 March 2001
and to re-appoint the auditors were not passed.


The validity of the accounts is not affected and the directors will seek to
appoint auditors.
