China Western Investments plc ("China Western" or the "Company")

Resignation of Nominated Adviser and Broker

The Company announces that Shore Capital & Corporate Limited and Shore Capital Stockbrokers Limited will cease to act as nominated adviser and broker, respectively, to China Western with effect from 4 May 2011. The Company is currently searching for a replacement nominated adviser. In the event that a replacement nominated adviser is not appointed on or before 4 May 2011 the Company's shares will be suspended from trading on AIM with effect from 7am on that date. If within one month of that suspension the Company does not appoint a replacement nominated adviser, the admission of the Company's ordinary shares to AIM will be will be cancelled pursuant to Rule 1 of the AIM Rules for Companies.
