        Connaught plc appoints Sir Roy Gardner as Non-Executive Chairman 
 
Connaught, a market leading provider of integrated support services announces 
today that it has appointed Sir Roy Gardner as Non Executive Chairman with 
immediate effect. He will succeed Tim Ross who has been acting as interim 
Chairman. 
 
Sir Roy Gardner is currently Chairman of Compass Group PLC, having joined the 
company as the Senior Independent Director in 2005. He is also a Non Executive 
Director of Mainstream Renewable Power Ltd, a Director of Willis Group Holdings 
Ltd and a Senior Adviser at Credit Suisse. His previous roles include Non 
Executive Chairman of Manchester United plc and he was also Chief Executive of 
Centrica plc, formerly British Gas, which he joined from GEC Marconi Limited. 
 
Commenting on the appointment, Mark Tincknell, Chief Executive, said: 
 
"Sir Roy has an outstanding record and I am confident that, with his wealth of 
experience, he will make a valuable contribution to Connaught over the coming 
years." 
 
Sir Roy Gardner commented:

realise the full potential of the business." 
 
The Company confirms that there is no further information to disclose under 
paragraphs 9.6.13(1) to (6) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority in 
relation to Sir Roy Gardner's appointment.
