Connaught PLC (CNT.LN), a provider of integrated support services, said Monday it has appointed Sir Roy Gardner as Non Executive Chairman with immediate effect.

MAIN FACTS:

-Gardner will succeed Tim Ross who has been acting as interim Chairman.

-Gardner is currently Chairman of Compass Group PLC (CPG.LN), having joined the company as the Senior Independent Director in 2005.

-Shares at 0710 GMT up 8.4 pence, or 2.8%, at 305.4 pence valuing the company at GBP426.9 million.
