    Purchase of own securities

    Close Second AIM VCT plc announces that on 29 August 2008 the Company purchased 56,293 Ordinary shares at a price of 31p per share.  The
Ordinary shares purchased represent 0.21% of the total number of voting rights in the Company before the transaction.

    These shares will be held in Treasury.

    Following this transaction, the issued share capital of the Company consists of 7,669,349 Ordinary shares, 8,214,295 'C' shares and
12,026,498 'D' shares with a nominal value of 5p each, with voting rights.  The Company now holds 401,512 Ordinary shares and 75,000 'C'
shares in Treasury.
