Dean Corporation plc (the "Company")
 
Result of EGM
 
At the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Company held today
each of the resolutions, including the approval of the acquisition
of IPM Engineering Limited, the demerger of Dean Homes Limited
("Dean Homes") and Speymill Contracts Limited ("Speymill") and the
change of name to Environmental Property Services PLC, were duly
passed.  Admission of the 6,200,000 new Ordinary Shares to the
Official list is expected to occur on 8 December 1998.  Dealings
Artisan (UK) plc, comprising the demerged businesses of Dean Homes
and Speymill, are expected to commence on the Alternative
Investment Market from 8 December 1998.
