                                 AGM Statement


                 Trading in line with the Board's Expectations


At the Annual General Meeting of Deltron Electronics plc, the specialist
European electromechanical solutions provider, the Chairman Paul Gourmand made
the following statement:


"The Board is pleased that Deltron's first quarter results are in line with our
expectations. Our key performance indicators are on target. The most important
are:


* Sales up 5% on a like for like basis

* Margins maintaining robust healthy levels

* Design-in contracts remaining a company strength and engine for growth

* Healthy demand which is driven by both new and existing customers


In December we said the economic climate looks reasonable whilst caution over
the strength of the recovery is sensible.  Our view is unchanged as the trading
climate continues to be demanding while our first quarter performance
demonstrates Deltron's underlying strengths."
