                          Placing of Convertible Note


Further to earlier announcements and approval by shareholders at a General
Meeting held on 10 January 2008, the Company wishes to advise that it has placed
A$9 million of the A$10 million Convertible Note with Capma Pty Ltd, a company
in which a Director, Mr C Kyriakou has an interest.


The Note expires on 16 January 2012 and at that time, or if exercised earlier
under the terms of the Note, must be exercised into fully paid Ordinary Shares
in the Company at the lower of A$5.50 or 80% of the weighted average market
price at the conversion date.


It is not presently envisaged that the A$1 million balance of the Convertible
Note will be placed.
