Kvaerner ASA today announced that it has requested the UK Listing Authority to
suspend, with immediate effect, the listing of the securities of Kvaerner ASA
to mirror the suspension in trading of those securities on the Oslo Stock
Exchange.  The suspension is temporary, pending a further announcement.
