Investment Update: Responsive Load Limited ("RLtec")

Low Carbon Accelerator Limited (AIM: LCA) today announces that ResponsiveLoad Ltd (trading as 'RLtec') has received an equity investment of GBP4 million from Ombu Limited ("Ombu"). Ombu is an existing shareholder in RLtec.

Following this investment, LCA will retain a stake of 24.6% on a fully diluted basis in RLtec, valued at GBP4.46 million.

RLtec has developed smart grid-management technology called Dynamic Demand to increase the energy efficiency of the whole electricity supply chain, from white goods and appliances through to large scale power generators.

Dr Steve Mahon, Chief Investment Officer for Low Carbon Investors, the investment manager for Low Carbon Accelerator, said:

"This investment provides the funding required for the next phase of the commercial roll-out of RLtec's dynamic demand service, and positions the Company to establish itself as a market leader in the smart grid space.
