                       Statement re Share Price Movement

The Board of Lapp Plats plc notes the recent movement in the Company's share
price.  Consistent with the Company's stated strategy to seek acquisition and
development opportunities in the broader resource sector encompassing minerals,
metals and oil and gas opportunities, Lapp Plats confirms that it has entered
into discussions and is undertaking due diligence which may or may not lead to
an acquisition which would be classified as a substantial transaction in
accordance with the AIM and IEX Rules.  There can be no certainty that any
acquisition will be made or as to the terms and conditions on which any
acquisition might be made.
