2002 it purchased and cancelled 100,000 M&G HIT Package Units at a price of 87.5
pence per Package Unit. This represents 0.19% of M&G HIT's issued share capital.

To date, a total of 400,000 Package Units have been purchased and cancelled by M
&G HIT resulting in a current issued share capital of 53,752,179 Income Shares
53,752,179 Capital Shares and 53,752,179 Zero Dividend Preference Shares.
