                        NEPTUNE MINERALS PLC
                    ("Neptune" or the "Company")

                     ISSUE OF EQUITY AND OPTIONS

The Company announces it has issued 18,300 ordinary shares in the
Company following an exercise of warrants.  Following the issue of
shares, the Company has 66,064,113 ordinary shares in issue.
Application has been made for the new shares to be admitted to
trading on AIM and this is expected to take place on 5 February 2008.

In terms of certain employment contracts entered into with employees
the Company today issued the following options to staff:
