Distribution of the Company's Shareholding in Cambria Automobiles plc

Promethean plc announces its intention to distribute in specie its shareholding in Cambria Automobiles plc ("Cambria") to shareholders on the register at close of business on 12(th) July 2012. The date for the distribution will be the 7(th) September 2012. This distribution is being made pursuant to the 2009 Promethean Shareholder-approved divestment programme.

Under the terms of Cambria's admission to AIM and the lock-in agreement signed at that time between the Company and Cambria, no distribution of shares could be made before 30(th) June 2012.
