Sagicor at Lloyd's Expands Underwriting Teams

Sagicor at Lloyd's (SAL) announced today it has expanded both its Liability and Credit, Bond & Political Risk teams.

Laurie Devereaux will be joining Sagicor's Liability team headed by David Jones. Devereaux moves from Argo where he was Senior Underwriter for General Liability.

Under David Jones, SAL is expanding both its Professional and Liability teams in line with the business plan.

David Jones, Class Underwriter, Syndicate 1206 commented:

Devereaux has 24 years' experience in the insurance industry covering both underwriting and broking. Devereaux started his insurance career with Sun Alliance Insurance Group as Casualty Section Head before moving on to Independent Insurance Company Ltd, JLT Risk Solutions and Allied World Assurance Company Ltd.

Devereaux joined Markel International in 2006 where he reported to David Jones as Class Underwriter in General Liability, before joining Argo in January 2011.

Stephen Hart will be joining the Credit, Bond & Political Risk team headed by Mark Chappels. Hart moves from Aon Benfield Limited where he was Production & Marketing Executive / Senior Broker. Hart has 20 years' experience in the industry covering insurance, reinsurance, broking and underwriting.

Hart started his career at QBE as an assistant underwriter for Credit, Bond & Political Risk Reinsurance, and after various roles he moved on to broking with Guy Carpenter, Willis, and Aon Benfield.
