Security Granted over shares 
 
 
Sovereign Oilfield Group Plc (AIM:SOGP), announces that Dr Peter Felter, Deputy 
Chairman of the Company, pledged on 11th July 2006, as security against a loan 
facility, his total shareholding in the Company of 4,827,500 Ordinary Shares 
(representing 27.88% of the Company's issued share capital). 
 
 
Furthermore Mr Graham Burgess, Chief Executive, pledged on 14th December 
2006, as security against a loan facility, his total shareholding in the Company 
of 5,024,000 Ordinary Shares (representing 29.01% of the Company's issued share 
capital). 
 
 
Both Directors had disclosed the pledges detailed above to the Board at the time 
of making the arrangement. No other director of the Company has granted security 
over or entered into any financial instruments relating to any of their holdings 
of Ordinary Shares in the Company.
