                                 TRADING UPDATE

ScS Upholstery Plc ("ScS"), the specialist sofa retailer, today announces its
trading update for the 43 weeks ended 28 July 2007.

Total sales order intake for the 43 week period is up by 12%. Like for like
sales order intake is down by 7% which is an improvement since our interim
results announcement when we reported like for like sales order intake down by
10% for the first 32 weeks of the financial period. This improvement reflects a
combination of the early benefits of the management initiatives to stimulate
sales, outlined at the time of our interim results, and weather conditions more
favourable to our business in recent weeks.

ScS will report its preliminary results for the 43 weeks ended 28 July 2007 on
Tuesday 25 September 2007.
