                                  Board Change


ScS Upholstery plc ("ScS" or the "Company"), the Officially Listed specialist
sofa retailer, is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Bateman as a
non-executive director to the Board, with immediate effect.


Mr Bateman, 64, spent the first 24 years with Philips Industries before moving
to Tesco. During his 17 years there he held the position of Distribution
Operations Director and Managing Director of their logistics, finally
undertaking the role of Distribution Strategy Director. More recently he was the
Chief Executive of Wincanton Plc, a position he held for 3 years up to December
2005.


Current Directorships


Non-executive Director at Archbold Holdings Ltd and Chairman of Archbold
Logistics Ltd.


There are no further details that are required to be disclosed under Rule 9 of
the UKLA Listing Rules.
