                  EXTRACTS FROM THE CHAIRMAN'S AGM STATEMENT


At today's Annual General Meeting of Sportsworld Media Group plc, the
Company's Chairman, John Bernbach, made the following comments:

"As we indicated at the preliminary results in October, the new financial year
has started in line with the Board's expectations.

"There is good momentum in the Group as global television networks continue to
outsource many of their programmes and international advertisers move away
from 30-second television into more effective and cost efficient content
strategies.

"All areas of the Group's operations continue to grow and whilst sport remains
its main business, Zeal, the recently launched entertainment division has made
good progress. Its exclusive relationship with the Chatterbox Partnership has
already secured a number of new contracts in Europe, Asia, The Middle East and
Latin America with a number of major terrestrial broadcasters that it has not
previously sold programmes to.

"The Group has further strengthened its management with the appointment of
Malcolm Gardner as Group Finance Director who will join on January 1st 2002."
