                             Texas Oil and Gas PlC
                            Exploration Acquisition

The board of Texas Oil and Gas PLC, the oil producer in East Texas, is pleased
to announce that its wholly owned US operating subsidiary TOGS Energy has bought
into two oil and gas exploration leases in the highly prospective Trinity
Southeast ("TSE") and Trinity Southwest ("TSW") prospects in Runnells County,
West Texas.

The aggregate purchase comprises 25% of the TSE prospect and 5% of the TSW
prospect.

This represents a development of the Company's strategy to pursue exploration
opportunities in Texas.

The workover programme announced in July 2004 remains on target.
