                DECEMBER TRADING UPDATE AND DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT
                               16TH JANUARY 2007


Ultimate Leisure Group plc today issues the following trading update.

The Group has had a satisfactory December with Like for Like sales above last
year by +1%. This reflects the benefits of both our reinvestment programme and
our increased investment in marketing. The company is trading in line with the
Board's expectations.

As previously reported, in the six months to 31st December the Group purchased
the freehold of 'The Attic' in Newcastle and the short leaseholds of two bars in
Belfast. Additionally a 'Prohibition bar and grill' has opened in the City of
London. These new businesses are performing in line with our expectations. In
addition, the Group disposed of two non-core nightclub assets in the period,
Rotherham and South Shields.

The Company also announces the appointment of Mrs Alka Bali to the plc board as
Non Executive Director with immediate affect. Alka has considerable leisure
industry experience, having been a director of Close Brothers Corporate Finance.
She is currently a director of Dawnay, Day International Ltd.

Chairman Mark Jones said: "We are satisfied with trading over the important
December period as we continue to implement our reinvestment strategy. Following
the successful refurbishment of most of our sites, we are increasingly looking
to acquire sites and businesses that will help deliver value to our 
shareholders".
