                               Board Appointment



The Directors of Vanco plc ("Vanco" or "the Group"), the pioneering global
Virtual Network Operator, are pleased announce the appointment of Mark Thompson,
the Northern European Managing Director, as an Executive Director of Vanco plc
with immediate effect.



Mark, aged 43 years, joined Vanco as Head of UK Operations in November 2003 from
Energis plc where he was Director of Sales of Energis' Corporate Business Unit.
Mark has an excellent track record in developing and negotiating significant
contracts within Vanco.



As previously announced, Tony Nester will be leaving the Group at the end of
February, having been with the business for 18 years.



Mark Thompson holds 391,736 nil paid deferred ordinary shares in Vanco Group
Limited pursuant to the Vanco Group Employee Incentive Scheme, which shares will
vest, and become exchangeable for Ordinary shares in Vanco plc, based on
performance criteria and continuous employment. If all criteria are met, Mark
Thompson will be entitled to 170,000 Ordinary shares in Vanco plc between March
2007 and April 2009.



No disclosures in respect of Mark's appointment are required to be made under
Rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
