                         ("Xceldiam" or the "Company")

                          Update on Dividend Timetable

Further to the announcements made on 1 March 2007 and 2 March 2007 the Company
re-confirms that subject to (i) approval of the disposal of Frannor Investments
and Finance Limited to Petra Diamonds Limited ("Petra") (the "Disposal") at its
Extraordinary General Meeting on 19 March 2007 and (ii) satisfaction of all
outstanding conditions contained in the agreement made between Xceldiam and
Petra governing the terms of the Disposal, the Company will receive 19,674,584
shares in Petra (the "Consideration Shares"). As already announced, Xceldiam
intends to transfer all the Consideration Shares to shareholders in the Company,
by way of a dividend in specie.

The proposed dividend timetable is as follows:

  * as previously announced, the record date is 9 March 2007;
  * the ex-dividend date is 20 March 2007; and
  * the dividend payment date will be as soon as possible following completion
    of the proposed Disposal, likely to be on or before 31 March 2007.
