The Company has received notification, pursuant to sections 198 to 203 of the
Companies Act 1985, that as at close of business on 13 January 2004 following
purchases totalling 1,290,000 ordinary shares, Morley Fund Management Limited (a
subsidiary of Aviva plc) was interested in a total of 27,920,918 ordinary shares
of the Company representing 4.02% of the issued share capital.
