Snowden has been elected to a third term on the Board of Directors of CTIA - The Wireless Association(TM), the Washington D.C.-based international trade association for the wireless telecommunications industry, representing carriers, manufacturers and wireless Internet providers. "E.Y. has proven over the past two years that his knowledge and experience in the wireless industry makes him a valuable member of the Board of Directors, and his reelection to the board of directors for a third term demonstrates how much the other members appreciate his opinion and input," CTIA President Steve Largent said. As a member of the CTIA Board of Directors and the Executive Committee, the steering body for the association, since 2005, Snowden has represented the interests of "Other Suppliers" and the industry as a whole in his work with America's lawmakers and regulators, as well as his involvement in crafting future direction through CTIA deliberations, development of industry policy positions, legislative changes and key industry initiatives. Prior to APC-Sprint Spectrum, Snowden was area vice president at Pacific Bell, Inc., where he developed the business plan for the company's entry into the PCS market through the creation of Pacific Bell Mobile Services. Snowden acts as a director of Tatara Systems, Inc., Board Chairman and Director of the Massachusetts Network Communications Council, and as a Trustee of the Tower School in Marblehead, Mass.
