Syneron Medical Ltd. (ELOS) recently got a media panel to discuss unique issues pertaining to Asian skin care and ways to generate a craze for quality skin. The company introduced three of its latest products at the 22nd World Congress of Dermatology held in Seoul. Its management stated that these innovative products (elure, ePrime and eMatrix) are especially designed to sooth the Asian skin.

The elure Advanced Skin Lightening Technology is the sole topical skin lightening substance that enhances the appearance by temporarily destroying melanin (the pigment which gathers in the skin leading to an uneven and darker complexion). By utilizing an unusual natural enzyme, Melanozyme, the elure product causes rapid improvement in skin quality, within 30 days. According to the company, multi-center studies across the globe have established the tolerability and safety of this product on Asians.

With its ePrime energy-based dermal remodeling system, Syneron emphasized the necessity to understand the effect of different devices on Asian skin. ePrime’s less invasive technology delivers monitored radio frequency energy into the depths of the dermis leading to better skin tone without collateral damage.

The eMatrix Sublative Rejuvenation - Fractionated bipolar Radio Frequency device assures quality treatment for Asian skin. Its capability to provide noteworthy dermal impact with the least possible epidermal damage goes further to retain skin laxity, reduce wrinkles and lesions and other applications.

Syneron stated that it is investing heavily to meet the specific requirements of Asian skin and retain its global standard. With the highest growth rate in the Cosmetic business emanating from Asia, it is important for Syneron to target this market properly.

Syneron offers a comprehensive product portfolio and a global distribution setup. Its knowledge allows medical practitioners to provide sophisticated solutions for a wide range such as wrinkle reduction, hair removal and body contouring. It faces some competition from Cutera (CUTR) among others.
