EnergySouth Midstream today announced that it will hold a non-binding open season for up to 12.0 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of high deliverability natural gas storage capacity at its Mississippi Hub facility in Simpson County, Mississippi. The open season relates to the development of two salt dome storage caverns at the newly acquired Mississippi facility. The open season begins today, January 7, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. CST and will end at 5:00 p.m. CST on January 25, 2008. Under development at the Bond Salt Dome Structure in the Mississippi Salt Basin, the Mississippi Hub received 7(c) Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approval in February 2007 and expects to complete pipeline interconnects with Sonat, SESH, and Transco. The facility is also located near Crosstex, Gulf South�s Southeast Expansion Project, and Kinder Morgan/Energy Transfer Partners Midcontinent Express pipelines. EnergySouth Midstream expects the first of the two caverns to be operational by the fourth quarter of 2009. The second cavern has a planned in-service date of mid 2011.
