"These customers have taken advantage of new functionality in ASE 15 such as semantic partitioning and the new query processing engine, and as a result, their companies are enjoying significant benefits, including improved database maintenance windows, faster query performance and improved total cost of ownership." Special Agent ASE 15 Award Winners SPECIAL AGENT: Eduardo Serikava, Support Supervisor, Caixa Economica Federal Company: Caixa Economica Federal is based in Brazil and owned by the Brazilian Federal Government. As part of the project, he implemented partitioning in ASE 15 and saw a significant reduction in administrative tasks including an 80 percent improvement in table update statistics, a 95 percent improvement in the time it takes to backup the database and 75 percent faster database recovery time. Caixa also benefited from an increase in system performance including I/O requests that are 10-30 percent faster on ASE 15.
