Item 1.01. Entry into a Material Definitive Agreement.
On January 12,
2021, Loop Canada Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Loop
Industries, Inc. (the “Company”), entered into
an agreement (the “Agreement”) with Chemtex Global
Corporation (“Chemtex”) to acquire PET polymerization
equipment from Chemtex to manufacture limited quantities of
Loop™ branded PET resin at its demonstration plant to better
support the Company's Infinite LoopTM commercialization
projects and have the capability to supply select
customers.
The
foregoing summary is qualified in its entirety by reference to a
copy of the Agreement, which will be filed as an exhibit to the
Company’s annual report on Form 10-K for the period ended
February 28, 2021.
