DAYTON, Ohio, Jan. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MTC Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:MTCT), an industry-recognized provider of aircraft modernization and sustainment, professional services, C4ISR, and Information Technology and Training solutions to the Department of Defense (DoD) and national security agencies, announced today it has been awarded a $23 million contract to perform Long Haul Communications and Information Technology Support Services. The five-year, firm fixed price contract was awarded by the Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) for the Air Force Communications Agency (AFCA/ESLM), Scott AFB, Illinois. MTC will be responsible for IT solutions for several communications systems essential to enable the Departments of the Air Force, Army, Navy, and Defense Logistics Agency to provide telecommunications acquisition and circuit management services for their respective military service's management functions, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and other DoD customers. Such systems consist of: Air Force Long Haul Communications (LHC); Mobile Satellite Services (MSS); Personal Wireless Communications Services (PWCS); Teleport Communications Systems and Architecture; Telecommunications Certification Office Support System (TCOSS); and Facility Circuit Information Tracking (FaCIT). Additionally, MTC will be responsible to transition TCOSS and FaCIT to a Web-based system using Microsoft, NET, IIS, and SQL technologies. The Company will assist in obtaining and maintaining Network Processing Certification and in expanding functionality to program managers, MAJCOM financial and provisioning communities, and base-level users for the entire DoD, while providing improved integration with other DISA provisioning automation systems. As the prime contractor, MTC will manage the work and provide technical and IT support from its office in O'Fallon, Illinois. This award enhances MTC's reputation as a total IT and long haul communications solution provider for the Air Force and Department of Defense.
