Recognizing the importance of a leading-edge IT strategy in the delivery of quality patient care, UMC initiated an effort to standardize on a single integration platform for its many discrete patient care and financial systems, and to eliminate one of the two outdated interface engines in the Medical Center. Through the deployment of the SeeBeyond ICAN Suite, UMC expects to gain efficiencies through the use of a fully supported, standards-based integration suite, while preserving its existing interfaces until the upgrade is complete.
