ViroPharma and Shire announced on November 11, 2013, that the companies have
entered into a definitive merger agreement under which Shire will
acquire all the outstanding common stock of ViroPharma for
approximately $4.2 billion.
ViroPharma shareholders will receive $50 for each share of ViroPharma stock they own.
