EDO Corporation (NYSE: EDO) has received a $15 million follow-on
award for expanded support of the Army�s force protection system
known as C-RAM (Counter Rocket, Artillery, and Mortar). The task
order was effective April 1 and includes in-theater support. The
C-RAM �system of systems� combines a variety of existing systems
to: detect incoming mortars or rockets; intercept them with
self-destructing explosive bullets; warn exposed soldiers; and
enable timely counterattack of the enemy. �We have been providing a
range of professional and engineering services to assist the Army
in deploying C-RAM,� said James M. Smith, EDO�s chief executive
officer. �These include testing and validation of the systems at
test facilities and in the field, assistance in fielding systems,
and logistics services to ensure their continued operation. These
services are being provided in the U.S. and in support of nearly 20
