Hilb Rogal & Hobbs Company (NYSE:HRH), one of the world's largest insurance and risk management intermediaries, is pleased to announce that it has partnered with the American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA) to sponsor the 2008 Seniors Housing Liability Insurance, Health Benefits and Workers Compensation Report. This year marks the sixth year the two organizations have worked together to publish this report. This report features a collection and analysis of insurance-related data from operators across the nation, and is intended to help seniors housing and long-term care operators evaluate their own insurance programs. The survey measured key areas, including workers compensation, general and professional liability, and employee benefits costs and trends. In addition, the report summarizes key risk management initiatives and programs for the participating companies. The analysis results are based on a nationwide sample of 230,000 senior housing units across the United States, which is a 40 percent increase from the sample size represented in the 2007 survey. As with past reports, this report information was gathered from a corporate-level survey that was sent to the providers in ASHAs database. HRH followed up with each respondent to ensure accuracy of the data, which was then analyzed by HRHs Seniors Housing and Long-Term Care Team. ASHAs President, David Schless, commented, The American Seniors Housing Association is very pleased to be able to continue our insurance-related research efforts in collaboration with HRH. We believe the results of thisannual study helpthe seniors housing industry to facilitate best practices in the areas of risk management and employee benefits, and to better understand the current insurance marketplace. HRHs Executive Vice President and Managing Director, John Atkinson added, Our partnership with ASHA has allowed us to gain the trust of the organizations members over the years, which, in turn enables us to provide the most credible reflection of Seniors Housing and Long-Term Care risk-related issues in the industry. Not only are we continuing to provide excellent benchmarking statistics, but this information arms us to effectively negotiate with underwriters around the globe, to the benefit of our clients and ASHA members. You may obtain a copy of the 2008 Seniors Housing Liability Insurance, Health Benefits and Workers Compensation Report, through ASHAs online bookstore at http://www.seniorshousing.org/Bookstore. The report is $100 for non-members and $60 for members. For specific questions with regards to the report, please contact HRH Managing Director John Atkinson at john.atkinson@hrh.com or 312-527-7010.
