Valero Energy Corp.(VLO) said Monday that its Texas City, Texas,
refinery repaired an exchanger leak found in the alkylation unit.
The company's Port Arthur, Texas, refinery has begun a scheduled
38-day hydrocracker turnaround and the fluid-catalytic cracking
unit that was previously shut for work has returned to planned
rates, a company spokesman said.
The start-up of a process unit at ConocoPhillips' (COP) Rodeo,
California, refinery resulted in a flaring event and necessitated a
filing to California state environmental regulators on Friday.
