Sodexho to Open First Einstein Bros.(R) Bagel Location in Hawaii on
Naval Station Pearl Harbor Bringing an 'Anything But Routine'
Experience to a Military Neighborhood GAITHERSBURG, Md., Feb. 14
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sailors and their families will be saying
'Aloha' to bagels this spring when Sodexho opens an Einstein Bros.
location on the Navy base at Pearl Harbor in Honolulu -- the first
Einstein Bros. in the state. Under a newly signed five-year
agreement, Sodexho Inc. (NYSE:SDX), the nation's leading provider
of food and facilities management services, will renovate an
existing cafeteria-style location on the base and operate the new
retail store. "This is both an exciting and strategic project for
our team," said Brett Ladd, vice president of operations for
Sodexho's Government Services Division. "There is a lot of
opportunity for our company to grow in this type of market,
particularly in Hawaii. We are eager to bring high-quality brands
and good service to these installations because we know it will
have a positive impact on the daily lives of our military
customers." Whether sailors want to nosh on a bagel and shmear,
grab a cup of darn good coffee(R) or bite into a crisp fresh salad
or warm panini, Einstein Bros. will have a full menu to satisfy
every taste for breakfast and lunch, conveniently located on base.
"We have a strong partnership with Sodexho," said Matt Sullivan,
senior director of business development for New World Restaurant
Group, Inc., parent company of Einstein and Noah Corp., the
operator and licensor of Einstein Bros. Bagels. "We look forward to
working together on this, an exciting project for both companies;
the first Einstein Bros. location on a Navy base, and our company's
first location in Hawaii." Through a licensing agreement signed in
2001, Sodexho operates several Einstein Bros. restaurants in the
U.S. at colleges and universities and health care facilities
including Auburn University in Auburn, Ala., Emory University in
Atlanta and several locations opening this spring such as Savannah

Mass. There are currently 373 company-operated and 61 licensed
