Salesforce.com Inc. (CRM) Chief Executive Marc Benioff said the company isn't bidding for Twitter Inc. (TWTR), the Financial Times reported Friday.

Mr. Benioff told the FT that Twitter "wasn't the right fit for us."

Twitter shares fell 5.5% to $16.81, while Salesforce rose 5.5% to $74.52.
