Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (BRKA, BRKB) sold about $615 million of its $1.8 billion face value of Texas Competitive Electric Holdings Co. notes in a private transaction this month, Bloomberg News reported Monday, citing a person with knowledge of the transaction.

Texas Competitive is a unit of Energy Future Holdings Corp.
