Honeywell International Inc. (HON) and United Technologies Corp. (UTX) have had talks within the last two weeks about Honeywell buying United in a stock-and-cash deal, CNBC reported Monday, citing people familiar with the situation.

United shares recently traded up 6.9% to $94.30.
