Mint is unveiling a special two–dollar circulation coin honouring
Jean Paul Riopelle, one of the most
influential artists of the mid-20th century, in
Canada and the world. The launch
of this new coin, featuring Riopelle's celebrated work will take
place at the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa, which will later host Riopelle:
Crossroads in Time, an exhibition coinciding with the
centennial celebrations of Jean Paul
Riopelle's birth.
