Athabasca Nuclear Corporation (TSX VENTURE:ASC) ("Athabasca Nuclear" or the
"Corporation") is pleased to announce that it has appointed Ian Fleming to serve
as the Corporation's Chief Financial Officer effective May 1, 2014.


Mr. Fleming is an experienced Chief Financial Officer and concurrently serves as
the CFO of Gold Royalties Corporation, a publicly-listed gold royalty company.
He holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of
Business at the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Business
Administration (Honors) from Brock University.


Mr. Fleming assumes the role from Glen Diduck to whom the Corporation expresses
its gratitude and appreciation for efforts in assisting with the Corporation's
transition to a leading uranium exploration company in the southwest Athabasca
Basin.
