VANCOUVER, Jan. 10, 2019 /CNW/ - Axion Ventures Inc.
("Axion Ventures" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: AXV; OTCQX:
AXNVF) announces that it has changed its auditor from BDO Limited
(the "Former Auditor") to KPMG LLP (the "Successor Auditor")
effective January 8, 2019. At the
request of the Company, the Former Auditor resigned as auditor of
the Company and the board of directors of the Company appointed the
Successor Auditor as the new auditor until the next Annual
General Meeting of the Company.
"We extend our thanks to BDO for the quality of expertise and
the urgency and attention they provided Axion with our 2018
financial statement filings; however, we continued a selection
process in the second half of 2018 and concluded that KPMG is best
positioned to meet our future needs." said John Todd Bonner, CEO and Chairman of the
Company.
There are no "disagreements" or "unresolved issues" (as those
terms are defined in National Instrument 51-102 Continuous
Disclosure Obligations ("NI 51-102")) in connection with the
change of auditor.
