VANCOUVER AND BEIJING, March
11 /PRNewswire/ - China Education Resources, Inc. (TSXV:CHN)
(Pink Sheets OTCQX: CHNUF), a leading technology provider of online
learning, training courses and tools for teachers, students and
education professionals in China, announced today the formation of
the "China Primary & Secondary School Online Education
Academy". The mission of the academy is to study the issues
and challenges that lie ahead for the kindergarten through grade 12
curricula in China and then integrate the research and
recommendations into the China Education Resources' education
portal.
"With the creation of the academy, we are seeking to put the
best minds together in order to create the most talented
educational platform possible for our teachers, educators and
students. Initially, we will be focusing on three areas:
improving the teachers' development of learning and research as
well as classroom teaching results; implementing the national
education plan and expansion of online training; and developing the
models of school-based online teaching and study," explained
Chengfeng Zhou, CEO, China Education Resources. "Utilizing our
relationship with the Chinese Society of Education as well as the
Curriculum Development Center (CDC) of the Ministry of Education,
we are expecting our educational platform to transform into one of
the primary, national resources for teacher training, curriculum
experiences and student interaction."
"Teachers are definitely the key to improving the overall
education system. We have seen a significant increase in the
annual training budget for teachers and expect this continue.
In fact, starting this year each teacher must take a qualification
exam every five years in order to continue as an education
professional. This will be a big challenge as we undertake
the chore of training over 12 million teachers on a regular basis,"
said Gu Mingyuan, president of the Chinese Society of Education
(CSE), the largest academic organization in China with over 850,000
educators and distinguished teachers as members. "Online
training will be a crucial element in accomplishing our goal."
"Our new education academy is looking for academic and education
professionals worldwide to join us as official advisors to help
formulate and direct our important program goals. Interested
participants can email their credentials to
admin@chinaeducationresources.com," said Chengfeng Zhou.
Presently, the academy's leadership includes: Tao Xiping as
chief advisor; Cao Zhixiang as advisor; Gu Mingyuan as
president; and Guo Zhenyou, Guo Yongfu, Zhuo Qingjun and Zheng
