("Emperor" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that Mr.
David Teh, P.Eng., MBA, has been
appointed Senior Consultant.
Mr. David Teh has over 30 years
of experience as Engineer/Manager/Executive in the petroleum
industry. In 1979, he graduated from the Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada with a
Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical). In 2009, he graduated from
the Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, UK with a Master of Business
Administration (MBA). He has worked for EXXON/ESSO Production
Malaysia, ESSO Resources Canada, PETRO-CANADA, TALISMAN Energy of Canada, GNPOC of Sudan, FCP in Algeria, Caracal/Griffiths (CARACAL) of
Canada & Chad, and others.
He is 1 of 2 Founding Vice Presidents of CARACAL for three years
(November 2009 to December 2012). In 2011, he resided in
N'Djamena, Chad for eight months
as Vice President & Country General Manager to establish
CARACAL office there. At the end of 2011, he was transferred back
to the Calgary, Canada head office
as CARACAL Vice President responsible for Chad Pipeline projects.
On December 31, 2012, he retired from
the company. At the end of 2013, CARACAL produced more than 11,000
barrels of oil per day in Chad. In
July 2014, CARACAL was sold to
GLENCORE for US$1.3 billion.
He has spent a total of 7-1/2 years in Sudan as GNPOC (Greater Nile Petroleum
Operating Company) Project Management Consultant/Engineering
Superintendent/Manager, culminating being appointed as GNPOC
President's Office Manager for three years (until June 2007), as an Advisor and Executive Assistant
to the President of GNPOC. In 2006, GNPOC produced about 250,000
barrels of oil per day from nine oil fields, with a combined
company and contractor employees of 5,000, generating about
US$6 billion annual oil revenue, and
with a yearly budget of US$1
billion.
Since 1990, he has been conducting Oil & Gas Productivity
Improvement concept seminars, "FAST TRACK Task Force Project
Management" (Doing It Better & Faster) in Canada and overseas attended by executives,
managers, engineers, professionals and administrative personnel.
More than 300 Managers, Engineers, other Professionals and
Administrative Staff in Sudan,
Africa petroleum industry received
this FAST TRACK training.
Since 2002, he has been presenting Project Management,
Productivity Improvement concepts & processes, Training and
Environmental Project papers at the International Project
Management Association (IPMA) World Congress on Project Management
and other conferences in ten different countries, namely, IPMA's
Germany in 2002, IPMA's
Russia in 2003, IPMA's
Hungary in 2004, IPMA's
India in 2005, IPMA's China in 2006, IPMA's Poland in 2007, IPMA's Italy in 2008, IPMA's Finland in 2009, University of Andes Colombia
in 2010, and Chad International Oil, Mining & Energy
Conference, N'Djamena, Chad in
2011.
He is a member of APEGA.
