EnQuest (TSX VENTURE:ENQ) is pleased to announce that it has retained Lightyear
Capital Inc. to advise the Corporation and to provide guidance to a special
committee comprised of all of the independent directors of the Corporation,
which committee was struck in response to current economic conditions to
consider a number of strategies to strengthen EnQuest's position going forward.


Further information regarding EnQuest's comments on its outlook for 2009 and the
special committee were made in its January 15, 2009 press release.


EnQuest provides energy services throughout North America in the following
primary business segments: transportation services, rig moving, crane services,
specialized heavy hauling, oilfield equipment rentals, retailer of new and
refurbished Oil Country Tubular goods and pipe storage.
