Solutrea Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SLA) (Solutrea, the Company) today announced a
corporate update regarding its activities towards submitting its outstanding
filing requirements in support of lifting the cease trade order imposed since
September 2007. The Company, after a thorough review of its progress with regard
to completing its financial statements, concluded that while much of the
bookkeeping and audit work required to complete the year-end financials for the
four previously-private companies has been completed, certain information and
documentation required for completion of the year-end audit for two of the four
subsidiaries was still not in place. This will require a time-consuming process.


In response to this assessment, the company has initiated a wider corporate
review to determine the best course forward. As part of this process, the
company will be looking for a new CEO to replace the exiting CEO, Hatim
Zaghloul, who resigned effective May 30th. In addition, Patrick Delisle, the
current CFO, stepped down effective May 26th but has agreed to remain in place
on a consultative basis for a limited interim period to assist with the
transition.


The Company will not provide a revised date for filing the financial statements
until after the strategic review is completed.
